Thank you so much for choosing me to be part of your first ever Gold bottle scheme, I’m so completely honoured to be given the opportunity to pick and name a colour.
It was a tough choice but hopefully everyone will love it.
I’ve been a nail tech for almost 9 yrs now, I still do hairdressing but 10 or so years ago I developed acute frozen shoulder and was unable to work properly for over a year. I was going completely stir crazy so my lovely husband booked me in with a friend who used to be a nail tech so I could work on a life long habit of biting my nails, to cheer me up!!
While talking to her about everything I found myself asking more and more about nails/glitter and everything else nail related with each appointment.
I realised I wanted to make a change and looked into nail tech training. Some people questioned if it was a good idea, but my dearest mum and husband told me to just go for it.
From day one my mum was behind me, she was my first ever model and a brilliant one at that!
She was my best advert too, always flashing her nails at anyone who commented.
Throughout the years I religiously did them for her every 3 weeks until she became poorly. She was so very cross when she found out she couldn’t have them done anymore.
When we lost her I almost lost my way with the job I loved most and found myself struggling for a few years, completely lost enthusiasm for everything nail and hair related.
Then Covid happened and I started doing nail art courses with my daughter and she too discovered a love of all things nails which led to her now becoming an amazing beautician/nail tech with her own business at 21!
My clients have been with me through thick and thin, they are like my extended family!! I love every single one of them, even the fact they book so far in advance that December gets booked up in April! I repay that by giving them the best products to keep their nails in tip top condition!
My gorgeous granddaughter was born 2 and 1/2 yrs ago now and she has been the brightest light in our lives, bringing the joy back to everything she smiles at!
So long story short, this type of colour was my mums favourite, she loved reds and pinks and it always had glitter! So I picked this colour for her. And I name this stunning colour after the most beautiful creature to wear me out every Wednesday, my gorgeous granddaughter Elsie!
Thank you again for giving me this chance to honour my wonderful mum and beautiful granddaughter. You will never know how much it means to me xx
Much love to you all,
Nic Rose
